Alimela Thuto is a financial institution founded in 1999 by Mrs Mamonyake Mokebe Under Edu-Loan, an open Learning Group has once again opened its doors in the quest to continue aiding Basotho student in getting formal education. The company's Chief Executive Officer Mrs Mokebe, who has been a teacher over thirty years, says the company was privately owned when it started, but was later publicly owned after its transformation from Edu-Loans to Alimela Thuto. She started this company to aid and offer training services to nurses,correctional officers,teachers and police officers as well as assisting them with registration process.

Our Mission is to whet Basotho's interest in pursuing their studies, also assist them in debt management, and to boost the country's economy through skills, expertise hense better quality of life.
Alimela Thuto has opened door's to give loans to Civil Servants, the reason being that the government adheres to our loans return policy, which is the use of stop orders. However, the company can still make an exception of giving personal loans to private companies as long as the management commits to stop order of the staff member(s) salaries. The company helps with loans of education as well as personal loans.
